LOCKDOWN PART II - THE CLINIC REMAINS FULLY OPEN

Under legislation passed for a new national lockdown, commencing on the 5th November 2020, Osteopathic Clinics are permitted to remain open for the provision of healthcare services. You are able to leave your home to attend an Osteopathic appointment under the new restrictions.

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT - WE ARE OPEN

With the gradual easing of restrictions and the increasing need for private healthcare services to support communities, we are now able to offer face-to-face Osteopathic appointments. We have made stringent changes to our practice protocols to ensure patient safety and infection control. Each patient will be contacted prior to their appointment to conduct a patient risk assessment.

Where possible, initial consultation case history taking will be conducted over the phone before coming to the clinic for further assessment and treatment. We politely ask, where possible that patients attend their appointments promptly and alone, extra time will allocated between each session to allow removal of PPE and sanitisation of the clinic room.Communal areas will be sanitised regularly throughout the day.

In accordance with Public Health England, your Osteopath will be wearing a fluid repellent surgical mask, single use nitrate gloves and plastic apron. Alcohol hand gel will be available for all patients and we ask that on arrival each patient wash their hands and apply the hand gel before entering the clinic room.
These are unprecedented times, which require unprecedented measures but your safety is our utmost priority.

We will also be continuing to offer our virtual consultations for the foreseeable future.

VIDEO CONSULTATIONS DURING COVID 19

Osney Osteopaths have launched a new ‘TeleHealth’ Service. This service will enable new and current patients to book a video consultation. With the right approach, an online consultation can be a great opportunity to work collaboratively with you, hear your story and plan an effective treatment plan together.

What can we do?

We take a full case history of the presenting condition, cover your past medical history and ask about your pain and its behaviour.
We are able to examine you by observing posture and asking you to perform simple movements, exactly as we would in the clinic treatment room. Treatment can include advice on modification of certain activities, and progressive rehab exercises.
